A 10 Minute yoga practice to warm the body and connect to your power. Slow flow with powerful poses to encourage you to really feel each pose.
Stress and tension build up through out the moments and days of our life. This build up blocks us from fully experiencing the moments in front of us. It also creates an overwhelmed feeling within. This 15 minute practice will melt away that stress and tension. Allowing you to breathe with ease and move freely. A great practice for all levels newest beginner to most advanced yogi.
The core is the most important part of our body when it comes to ease of movement. When our core is strong and open we move easy and free. Muscles of the core stabilize us as we stand tall, as we sit, basically in almost any movement. This yoga practice will guide you to strengthen those core muscles and lengthen them for ease of movement
Lower back tension can really effect our daily activities. A real pain in the back side. I know i used to have awful lower back tension. and then along came yoga. I have to say these simple poses/stretches really help me keep that lower back tension away. Although it pops up every now and then, yoga usually takes it away immediately. This video is about 10 minutes with simple yoga poses to help you release that lower back tension and move with ease throughout the day.
Yoga is an amazing practice. It creates a space for us to open up, let go and breathe. Sometimes yoga is the only time we allow ourselves to relax. So when we enjoy yoga in the morning this can become difficult to balance energizing and relaxing on the mat. I know you want that relaxation from the chaos of life and still have energy for the day...
Yoga with little ones can be so fun! They are certainly squirmy no matter how exciting you make the yoga postures so don't stress about keeping them still. You will see in the video below that my little one doesn't stay still for long. It is great to start them young, yoga can have profound benefits for children as they get older. A solid introduction can give them the tool to deal with stress and anxiety instead of bad behavior.
Yoga is truly a practice that changes your entire body and when you are consist, it does not take long to see or feel the difference. Practicing a power flow allowed me to get my body back to a pre-baby body and I was not working any particular muscles just flowing. Yoga has much to do with Core strength. Many poses strengthen your core all around, front and back. And it doesn’t always feel so intense, I’m not a fan of only doing crunches or sit ups. I like to work out every muscle because all of our muscles work together in each moment so why strengthen one at a time…
As I stated in Yoga is the Best way to Build your Core. Yoga has truly changed my body. It is a practice that allows me to work out my entire body while strengthening my core. And often times you don’t realize how much you are using your core, which is super cool because personally I don’t like the feeling of doing tons or crunches!
Prenatal/Postnatal Strengthening will be all about preparing the body for labor and recovering after. Its nothing you cant handle though. And still safe for pregnancy. Here you will Strengthen legs and core muscles. Without an intense workout. Both are important for labor and post pregnancy recovery. This is an empowering flow and I love to do it!
Morning Rise is to open up and stretch out from the often rough night of sleep and to start your day clear and focused with intention. This one is great even if you’re not Pregnant. This is a sequence I do every morning before I get out of bed, yes I'm serious. No mat, it really allows me to be open for my day and my body to move freely.
Yoga and Pregnancy go very well together. Yoga can be gentle enough for a non-intense exercise or intense enough for a tougher workout. During Pregnancy there are all kind soft things going on in the body…added weight, less energy, skin stretching, and hormones are a wreck. With so much to deal with, Yoga is the grounding and stretching needed.
Yoga is a powerful practice. It is rooted in mind, body and spirit, connecting the three as one. A part of yoga is the physical practice, but there is so much more. I started my journey with yoga years ago and earlier this year I started a Yoga Writing Exploration. It is an exploration into yoga that I had experienced and put it into several posts for you. I have compiled all these post here.
Ishvara Prandhana is the last of the Niyamas (Read more about Niyamas Here). It means to surrender. And to surrender grants us the freedom and bliss we dream of. Ishvara Prandhana is by far one of the hardest things to do. And yet it has the greatest gift that comes with it…
Have you ever considered self-study? Looking deep within to figure out your inner workings. That is what Svadhyaya is about. It is a Niyama and the exploration of Svadhyaya is a profound personal journey. The process of self-study requires us to dive deep to parts of ourselves we have hidden away. It is ultimately a key to freedom.
